I've been working on various dye techniques as well as using Xuan paper in making rose leaves. I've designed a variation on the strip rose technique and also experimented with alcohol ink ombre effects as well as coffee dips. I'm making some of the most heart-stoppingly beautiful roses that feel free and exciting to make. I have this stem on the wall, and it glows, capturing the light and adding wonderful texture. In this piece, I'm making progress with my strip rose pattern and Xuan paper staining and leaf styling.
